The Bernie Scholarship Fund is housed with the Montgomery County Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non profit corporation.

We do accept credit card donations now, but a fee is charged:
  1. Go to the Community Foundation’s website.
  2. Click “Donate Now” in the upper right  corner,
  3. Then make sure to fill out “Bernie Scholarship” in the field asking for the fund name.

Seven percent of the donation goes toward credit card processing, so less of the donation makes it into the fund.  If you must donate online that’s fine, but the Foundation is trying to decrease the fee before encouraging online donation.  At this point, writing a check is still the best way.
